Richard Granese, M.D., MBA., is a Board Certified Psychiatrist currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for premiere addiction treatment centers, A Better Life Recovery and A Mission for Michael, Dual Diagnoses program. Dr. Granese works with patients dealing with complex mental health disorders and their co-morbidities, which often includes substance abuse disorders.
Dr. Granese has been practicing in Orange County since 2005. After relocating to Southern California, he found the need to offer psychiatric services available to the public. Prior to forming The ACCESS Mind Institute, Dr. Granese was the Medical Director of one of the Orange County Behavioral Health programs. In addition to his work with A Better Life, he currently serves as Medical Director for Southern California Psychiatric Associates.
Dr. Granese received is Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine, where he went on to complete his Residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine, and ultimately completed his Master of Business Administration in 2003 from University of Charleston.
Dr. Granese is affiliated with many universities and hospitals including St Jude Medical Center, Chapman University School of Physician Assistant Studies, Marshall B. Ketchum University School of Physician Assistant Studies, Hoag Hospital, Arcadia University School of Physician Assistant Studies and many others.
