Stephen Cohen Henriques, CADAC II, CASAC, & M.E.d, is a Recovery Coach, Trauma Specialist and the Founder of The Parallax Solution, a concierge aftercare service for individuals in pursuit of recovery. He is a board member of Promise’s Foundation, Miriam’s House, and an active member of the recovery community.
As a Recovery Coach, Henriques works with individuals struggling with drug addictions, eating disorders, and chemical imbalances and customizes each client’s plan based on their medical, social, and professional histories to ensure the treatment is right for them and addresses underlying traumas.
The Parallax Solution is ideal for individuals, families, and professionals interested in creating real changes in their lives. TPS shifts and redirect a client’s awareness and behavior to produce better self- care, self-esteem and cement solid boundaries. Through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, clients establish new outlooks and designs for living, rather than continuing emotional, physical, and spiritual self-harm.
Henriques has been featured on ABC7, Fox11, KAB 790, Beverly Hills Modern Luxury, Psych Central, and many others. His first book, Hula Hoop Healing: Eight Ways To Set Healthy Boundaries for Healing Your Life and Your Relationships will be released in 2020.
He is certified as a California State Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, CADAC I and II, and fully licensed as an Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor in California and New York. He holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Clark University and Master of Education from Manhattanville College. He is presently completing his Doctorate studies in Psychology. In pursuit of his Doctorate in Psychology, Henriques is working with California Highway Patrol and military personnel who experience day-to-day trauma to help them prevent PTSD down the road.
